RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Examining the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and the human body, the 'Statue' collection explores the symbiotic relationship between these disciplines. Informed by the intricate forms and structural elements of historical architecture and abstract sculpture, also the natural contours of the human body, I focus on reinterpreting these elements in my designs. I aim to achieve that by involving supportive materials and techniques combined with tailoring to achieve specific forms and silhouettes on the body. Situated within the context of expanded fashion practice, 'Statue' challenges conventional boundaries and fosters a fluid relationship between fashion, sculpture and architecture.
