Seeing Red is a conceptual exploration of the female experience, venturing into the landscape of the female psyche. This collection aims to hold up a satirical mirror, exaggerating emotions often imposed upon women to fit a narrative. The corset archetype embodies a complex history for women, symbolising both oppression and empowerment. Personifying the corset, I’ve amplified emotions such as rage, chaos, vanity, and despair throughout my tangible exploration. This approach encourages reflection on the significance of our relationships with women’s bodies and the societal expectations that shape our perceptions of femininity.
