Stainless is a series of vessels inspired by the techniques and materials used in furniture construction. Taking initial inspiration from the Plopp stool by Oskar Zieta this project evolved into an investigation of stainless steel. With support from Mike Dupes as well as 515 technicians Brian Helmkamp and Simone Tops we collaboratively worked on pneumatically forming, slicing and lining stainless steel pillows. Alongside this, I worked with offcuts from Clifton Upholstery and aged leather couch panels to create the two slouchy bags.

Stainless shows the potential for furniture to influence fashion outcomes and the opportunity to create a unique path forward for the accessories industry
