Sal Rosenberg

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Our bodies tell us when something doesn’t feel right; we get butterflies when we feel nervous and flush red when embarrassed. My collection expands on this concept, exposing the physical reactions our bodies manifest while processing the realities of climate change. In making the collection, I developed a slow design methodology to create sustainable garments that are meticulously handcrafted and considered, without the purchase of fabrics. Material exploration lead me to re-purpose old jeans and leather off-cuts to use alongside custom knitted pieces. As an almost zero-waste craft, knitting allowed me to create bespoke garments with integrity, tactility and depth.
