Shannon Theodora Djaja

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Raised diverse community, I have always been taught that ideology and symbolism are key components in uniting communities. Weaving and sharing my story as an Indonesian living in Australia. Alongside innovating and involving communities that would cross cultural divides, without resorting to appropriation, making it more relevant to contemporary fashion. Extending the western design, to be more inclusive of the extensive cultural diversification, unequivocally reflected throughout fashion capitals around the world.

Designs emerged within toiles, sketches, colours, textures and patterns. Focusing on sharing and expressing my personal and cultural identity, while infusing western fashion techniques, merging differences through fashion on that special day.
