RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

In this collection, I explore the means of tunnel vision thinking and how it manipulates and traps the mind into having one certain perspective on an outcome. To represent this, I have made the garments look restricting and uncomfortable for the eye by using lacing. But in reality, when worn, it is made of all stretch, and the lacing is only used for visual effects that overlay the garments. With this in mind, the observer could oversee this obstacle and break away from this illusion to find another route of thinking. I have embedded subtle reflective elements in the garments to achieve this, so there is a breakthrough reveal when photographed with flash.
