Body Talk 2.0

There is no doubt that beauty standards prevail in modern society, with social media presenting as the platform for transmission; one’s self-worth is commoditised, as humanity becomes addicted to the arbitrary comparison feedback loop. Users of the online world have abandoned their autonomy, surrendering to curated feeds of unrealistic standards that prey on their fears and insecurities. My practice aims to instill agency in the body of consumers, normalising and celebrating the discrepancies of the female figure. Whilst my practice does not present a complete solution to rooted beauty ideologies, it does encourage unapologetic body ownership amongst impressionable women.
