‘A Transcendence of Romanticised Beauty’, explores embracing the female figure through elegant draping creating pieces that elude femininity in a simplistic and minimal fashion. The pieces are primarily inspired by Ancient Greek sculptors and mythology behind the artwork. The collection will bring forth the static rigid composition of the inspiring sculptors, by transcending this key element onto a live body. In a sense bringing the sculptor to life. Whilst, embodying the way we romanticise the art of historical sculptures and idolise the luxurious nature of the characters they inhabit.
