Amy Gwak

RMIT Bachelor of Textiles (Design)

My textile project aim is to prototype products to springboard into launching my design brand. All my main motifs are hand-painted and digitised for printing onto paper for greeting cards, and natural fabrics for tea towels and cushion covers.

This collection features botanical designs that bring relaxing and cosy feelings. The colour palette is inspired by Australian flora and fauna. Looking at beautiful birds and blossoming flowers makes me feel happy and a deep appreciation of nature. Each flower has unique and beautiful colour combinations and details that help create these feelings and became central to the design of my motifs.
