My collection is an exploration of materials through the process of making, and how this exploration can define a garment. Instead of defining a concept as a starting point I decided the collection would be the materials and techniques themselves. The concept and collection are not separate – the collection itself is the concept. I was essentially designing the collection at the same time as making, which came through a process of finding connection to myself, the materials, and garments.
