RMIT Bachelor of Textiles (Design)

I created the Wappan textiles collection through the employment of natural renewable fibre known as Australian merino wool from my farm. Through the process of felting both wet and needle felting these artefacts were developed, they were manipulated through needle felting to create the fine details on a larger scale the work was wet felted.

Felt is a non-woven cloth that is produced by rubbing, condensing and pressing woollen fibres with hot water and soap. My theme is the land of
my farm as well as the wool of the sheep inspired by all of the natural surroundings and colours.
