RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

As a designer, nature is one of my ultimate inspirations, particularly the flowers in my home garden. After discovering the fabric manipulation technique of smocking in Persona Project, I became fascinated with the ability to transform fabric into different structures and motifs, including flowers resembling Jasmine's form and shape. As a result, my collection uses the flower-smocking technique to gather and accentuate the body in intriguing ways. Like Jasmine, Celestial Flora embodies femininity, beauty and love, which I have highlighted through the attention to detail and care taken to smock each flower.
