RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Our collection ‘SACRED LOTUS’ is inspired by our Thai cultural heritage which looks to reinvent traditional dress as contemporary design. By subverting the traditional Thai pant archetype through exploratory dressing and scale, we were able to come up with new ways to adorn the body. The lotus flower is also a significant symbol in Thai culture and has been adapted through surface print techniques like embroidery and raster etching. Our collection intends to forge a union between a celebration of culture and sustainable fashion.
