Eastern Twilight brings together notions of 'East meets West' through referencing my memories of the traditional culture of my hometown Shanghai and Victorian style gardens. With the intention of creating a contemporary Chinese fashion, my collection embodies Eastern sentiments through cultural traditions and the notion of fantasy within the Victorian garden setting. I have focused on the Chinese signatures of the Mandarin collar, diagonal opening, high side-slits, and Chinese fabrication, combined with silhouette and tailoring characteristics of the Victorian era.
