Anjali Tulpule

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Through my collection ‘Florality’ I explore the intersection between sustainability, my Indian cultural identity and the broad role of sense in perception. For the looks, I draw on the sensual and graceful design motifs found in traditional Indian dress. The experience of florality is amplified through extensive embroidery, the integration of petals and infusion with floral scents.

My collection is given life by jasmine and marigolds. These flowers are used as offerings in temples, in garlands to greet guests, and as adornments for the hair. ‘Florality’ pays homage to their ephemeral yet eternal beauty.
