RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

“Eva” is an artistic collection in form of womenswear, derived from my grandmother's narratives of her childhood. My ongoing interest in ‘intangible’ relations from persona, this collection discovers ‘the tangible’. Feeling at home once again from regenerating a part of her memories to find sentimentality away from home. As a design practitioner, I am exploring innovative methods of laser cutting, preserving flowers and leather moulding to develop functionality around my perspective of swimwear archetypes. Creating authenticity staples that feel at once nostalgic was important for me to iterate Eva’s life in the village of Greece, allowing me to share a symbolic takeaway from this collection.
