‘Molting fluid’ is a liquid between the old epidermis and the new epidermis of insects and some animals. This liquid plays a significant role when these creatures are in the process of ecdysis and metamorphosis. My designs are based on the idea of the transforming body from creature to woman and merging their physical biological characteristics to challenge the undesirable imagery of the female body which would traditionally be unacceptable and wicked. I expect to discover the social constructs of
women and beauty through a dark aesthetic lens.
